Matt Dooley Partners with Capital Race Cars for 2026

Georgia Racer Targets Regional 604 Schedule

BROOKS, Ga. (March 10, 2026) — The 2026 season will usher in a new chapter for Matt Dooley, as the Georgia native joins forces with Capital Race Cars and SCCS Solutions.

Dooley will pilot the Atlanta Coring / WesPro JCB Atlanta / Crown Security No. 18 Late Model powered by a Scott’s Machine engine, with the partnership set to debut in late March. The program will allow Capital Race Cars to gather valuable on-track feedback in the highly competitive Crate Late Model division, particularly at regional tracks throughout the Southeast.

“It’s a great opportunity for me,” Dooley said. “We’ve spent a lot of time in the shop this offseason working with Shane [Clanton] and Chad [Smith], and I’m excited to see all the hard work start to pay off. I’m really looking forward to working together.”

A native of Brooks, Georgia, Dooley enters the new season following a strong 2025 campaign that included four victories. The 2024 Rogers-Dabbs Crate Racin’ USA 604 Dirt Late Model Series Cruise with the Champions Rookie of the Year will transition from Rocket Chassis equipment to Capital Race Cars, citing Clanton’s success at the highest levels of Dirt Late Model racing.

“Having Shane in my corner to bounce ideas off of is going to be pretty cool,” Dooley added. “He’s won at the highest level against the best in the sport. I’m really looking forward to learning from his experience and using that guidance to keep improving as a driver. With their shop not too far from mine, I think it will be a great fit.”

Dooley is still finalizing his 2026 racing schedule, which will feature a pick-and-choose approach with the Rogers-Dabbs Crate Racin’ USA Series while also making select starts in the Super Late Model ranks — including the Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway.

Dooley’s season is scheduled to begin March 27–28 with the third annual Southern Heritage Classic at Needmore Speedway.
