Bad luck strikes in Alabama State Championship at EAMS
Matt Dooley made the trek to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon for the Alabama State Championships.
Competing in the 602 Late Model division, Dooley laid down the fourth-fastest lap in his stacked group during Saturday's qualifying sessions.
With the $7,500-to-win main event slated for Sunday, Matt started the feature from the eighth-position and was running inside the Top-5 when a rock tore through his radiator, ending his night early. He completed 19 of the 40 laps and wound up 17th in the running order.
