Dooley secures $3,000 Crate Racin' USA victory with late pass for the lead
On Saturday afternoon, Matt Dooley traveled to his home track of Senoia (Ga.) Raceway as the track hosted the Crate Racin' USA Series for a $3,000-to-win event.
Among 31 Late Models signed in, Dooley earned a front row starting position after recording the second-fastest lap in qualifying. Leading the first 20 laps of the 40-lap main event, Matt fell back to second after trading sliders with another competitor before regaining the lead with just two laps remaining. Dooley held on to collect the $3,000 payday over Dylan Knowles and Dalton Polston who completed the podium.
